CIBC 636C LoanMaker Handheld Calculator

[Picture of Handheld Calculator]

If your calculator hasn't been updated within the last year, you're not using the latest version of the software.  That means you don't have the latest CMHC Mortgage rates.

This loan and mortgage calculator has many useful routines specially designed for CIBC Loan and Mortgage Officers.  It has been in use within CIBC since 1988.

See 636C Support for information on changing the batteries, or to download the User's Guide.

Personal Loan Routines

Compute personal Loans with Payment Protector insurance.

Compute the Total Debt Service and maximum personal loan available based on a borrower's income and other loans.

Mortgage Loan Routines

Compute payments and mortgages for a variety of payment frequencies and interest rate terms with credit insurance.

Compute Mortgage Gross Debt Service percentages.

Compute Blended Mortgages.

Compute CMHC fees (2003 Rates), required down payment and mortgage amount.

Compute an Equivalent Future Rate (EFR) to assist borrowers in selecting shorter or longer interest terms.

Compute the Total Debt Service and maximum mortgage loan available based on a borrower's income and other loans.

Handheld Calculator Battery Replacement

To change batteries, you should first have the replacement batteries at hand (two CR2032 Lithium batteries are required) and a small screwdriver to remove the two screws on the back of the calculator. Make sure you install the new batteries with the same orientation (plus and minus) as the original batteries (this is also shown on a diagram on the inside of the back cover).

The CR2032 battery is available at Radio Shack stores, camera stores or departments, and other places that sell small batteries.  It is round, about 0.75 inches (19 mm) in diameter and 0.125 inches (3.175 mm) thick.

Click here for detailed Instructions on changing the handheld calculator batteries (instructions are also in the User's Guide).

You may have to Configure the calculator after replacing the batteries.
